Janitorial/Housekeeping Support
Full-Time
Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends
Wage: $12.50 – $17.50 per hour
Wesley Towers is a vibrant senior community located in a quiet neighborhood in northwest Hutchinson. We’re looking for a full-time Janitorial/Housekeeping Support applicant who is responsible for floor care and providing assistance and housekeeping support to residents. The ideal candidate for this position would be able to maintain a high standard of work when performing job tasks with a strong ability to work with a team.
Responsibilities:
Cleaning and sanitizing rooms and furnishings.
Floor care in assigned areas.
Transferring large trash containers to compactor.
Transferring soiled linen hampers to laundry area.
Following established policies and procedures.
Performing minor repairs requested by staff.
Providing assistance and support to residents and staff.
Assisting with setup of meeting rooms.
Assisting with moving residents’ furniture.
Assisting with transportation of residents when requested.
Qualifications:
Floor care experience required.
Previous janitorial experience helpful.
Must have a valid Kansas driver’s license.
Previous floor experience with buffers, strippers and waxing preferred.
Physical Demands:
Lift up to 30 pounds without assistance.
Must have the ability to team-lift large items.
Walk long distances, bend, kneel and work in small places.
May be exposed to chemicals, unpleasant orders and many different situations.
