Robert "Bob" Jones, 77, of Marquette, KS, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS.
Bob was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on February 11, 1947, the son of Leslie and Barbara (Beauchamp) Jones.
Bob graduated from Pitt State University, Pittsburg, KS with his Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
He was a member of the Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette, KS.
Bob worked for the State of Kansas for 35 years as a Health Facility Surveyor.
Bob was an avid sports fan, and supported his kids and grandkids in all their activities, and loved spending time with his family.
He was united in marriage to Carol Martin on October 16, 1977 in Marquette. The couple was blessed with the birth of three sons, Adam, Jared and Brady.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Adam (Hannah) Jones of Galva, KS, Jared (Nancy) Jones of Roxbury, KS, and Brady (Jenna) Jones of Smolan, KS; grandchildren, Dallas, Trevor, Hunter, Parker, Maybelle, Josephine and Augustus; sisters, JoAnne Engelland of Paducah, KY and Debbie Smith of Pittsburg, KS.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family burial will take place at Freemount Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette, KS with Pastor James Strassen officiating.
