Sedgwick County Detention Deputy arrested

SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. — A Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office detention deputy was arrested Sunday on felony charges out of St. Charles County, Missouri.

Deputy Kadin Scritchfield, 20, of Derby, was stopped by the Derby Police Department on Nov. 30, 2025, for a traffic violation. During the stop, officers confirmed Scritchfield had an active felony warrant. He was taken into custody on allegations of Threatening Nonconsensual Dissemination of Private Sexual Images and First-Degree Harassment from an incident reported in December 2024.

Scritchfield is being held without bond in the Sedgwick County Jail pending extradition to Missouri.

Scritchfield joined the Sheriff’s Office as a probationary employee in September 2025. His employment has since been terminated.
