HUTCHINSON, Kan. — It is a light agenda for the Hutchinson City Council on Tuesday.

The council will take action on the consent agenda, which includes approval of contracts with the police and fire unions and approval of the contracts with the zoo for the gift shop and the Prairie Thunder Railroad.

Also Tuesday, the city will take action on a resolution for redemption and payment of industrial revenue bonds that were used for an expansion project at Lowen back in 2008. The resolution releases the lease from the city back to Lowen as part of the 2008 agreement.

The council was to take action on a new collective bargaining agreement with its service employees, but employees voted down the proposal on Thursday.

Finally, the council will present reports and hear from City Manager Jeff Cantrell.
