Dillons is hosting a Community Day meal packing event at the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship in Hutchinson to benefit the Food Bank of Reno County and our local neighbors in need.
The event will be held on Wednesday, March 26, beginning at 12 p.m. on the west side of the Sports Arena.
We will be packing 2,500 meals in the form of 500 family meal kits. The kit includes all the ingredients and recipe for a BBQ Chicken Bowl. Everything is shelf-stable and will be packed by volunteers into small boxes for distribution by the Food Bank of Reno County.
Basketball fans and volunteers are encouraged to visit the west entrance of the Hutchinson Sports Arena during the event to help pack a meal kit. Whether participants can give a little or a lot of time, together we can make a huge impact.
This Community Day meal packing event and donation is part of Dillon’s commitment to Care for Our Communities through our Zero Hunger - Zero Waste plan. Food is at the heart of every community and so is Dillons.
