NICKERSON, Kan. — The Nickerson City Council is still entertaining ideas of how to spend ARPA COVID relief funds. The city is getting just over $154,000 in funding

During a recent work session, the council looked over ideas presented to it as well as public input during the meeting. According to City Clerk April Beshears, most are wanting to do something that would benefit older youth in the community, although no specifics were given.

Other ideas include an expanded splash pad, expansion of the city park and even providing weather radios for the entire community.

Beshears says they will continue to discuss the ideas in the coming weeks before taking action in a regular meeting.
