HUTCHINSON, Kan. — There was a large community turnout for the Downtown Kiwanis Chili and Soup Fest on Saturday.
Businesses lined both sides of Main from 2nd Ave. to Ave B for attendees to try different types of chili and soup. After going through the line, everyone had the opportunity to fill out a ballot for their favorite chili or soup.

Family Community Theatre served potato soup in front of Bookends and Hutchinson's Sweet Adelines sold cinnamon rolls.

Admission was $6 per person and free to those who were 10 and under with a paying adult. The money collected from the admission price will go towards Kiwanis projects throughout the year.
The funds are shared with different organizations throughout the community and other programs. More information about Kiwanis is available at hutchinsonkiwanis.org
