Anna Ruzhanovska-Garcia, 39, of Hutchinson, died April 17, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born April 3, 1984, in Cherkasy, Ukraine, to Vladimir and Vera Ruzhanovsky.

Anna graduated from high school in Detroit, Michigan, received two bachelor’s degrees from Wichita State University, and was working on a master’s degree from WSU. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed cooking and interior decorating. Anna was active in the Ukrainian Club of Wichita.

On May 24, 2020, Anna married Anthony L. “Tony” Garcia, in Hutchinson. He survives.

Also surviving are: her children, Emma Ruzhanovska, Dominic Garcia; stepson, Zayden Garcia; father, Vladimir Ruzhanovsky of Cherkasy, Ukraine; mother, Vera Ruzhanovska of Spain; sister, Kristina Ruzhanovska of Spain; brother, Igor Ocherednyi of Cherkasy, Ukraine; mother-in law, Shannon Garcia-Johnson; father-in law, Jon Johnson; brother in-law, Nicholas Garcia and his wife, Ashton, and their children; brother in-law, Chad Garcia and his wife, Anika Cohen, and their children, all of Hutchinson; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Elliott Chapel. The service will be livestreamed and the link to view it below will be active 15 minutes prior to the start of the service.

Private family inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
