Paulette Schrock, 97, passed away February 28, 2023 at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born August 14, 1925, in St. Louis, MO, to Willard Collier and Charlotte (Fulton) Collier.
Paulette was raised in St. Joseph, MO, where she met and married Donn Lainson. Together they had four children and eventually moved to Hutchinson, KS. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Paulette later married Dr. Ivan Schrock. They were longtime members of Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson.
Paulette is survived by: her husband of over 46 years, Ivan Schrock of South Hutchinson; daughters, Gail Estes (Tad), Linda Marsh, Susan Nolte (Clarence), Claire Foy (Mark), all of Hutchinson, and Kristine Schrock of Kansas City, MO; son, Eric Lainson of Enid, OK; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Joann and Patricia; daughter-in-law, Monna Lainson; and former husband, Donn Lainson.
Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary, with Reverend Dr. David Dubovich and Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Private burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Elmer, KS. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, and from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, with the family present from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. The service will be livestreamed with the link available on the Elliott Mortuary website.
