
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals are finalizing a two-year deal with right-handed pitcher, Michael Wacha, per ESPN's Jeff Passan.
The 32-year old from Iowa City, Iowa has pitched in Major League Baseball for 11 seasons. Wacha has pitched with the St. Louis Cardinals (7 years), Tampa Bay Rays (1 year), New York Mets (1 year), Boston Red Sox (1 year) and most recently the San Diego Padres (1 year).
He has pitched in 249 games and has made 228 starts. Wacha has a career earned run average of 3.96 and has 88 wins, 54 losses.
Wacha has a 25-6 record in the last two seasons with the Red Sox and Padres.
