KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a hit-and-run fatality accident northeast of Kansas City.
Just before 4 a.m. Sunday, deputies were dispatched to an accident in the area of NE 120th Street between A Highway and Fishing River Road, according to the Clay County Sheriff's office.
A fatality was confirmed. The victim was identified as 30-year-old John Paul R. Scheidecker.
The Clay County Investigations and Traffic Divisions reconstructed the scene. The suspect vehicle did not stop, and investigators are asking for assistance from anyone with information on this incident. Please contact Sgt. Johnson directly at 816-407-3723.
