HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Treasurer Brenda Kowitz says 70% of her staff is out in the Treasury and Tag Department with COVID related issues.
Kowitz says the department is trying to follow the health department guidelines including social distancing and wanted to stress that if you do not feel well, do not come to the annex.
The departments at the annex are strongly recommending wearing a mask and to use sanitizer and/ or wash your hands often. As announced Tuesday the annex will close from Noon until 1:00 p.m. and all title work will stop at 3:30 p.m. with the tag/treasury office closing at 4:00 p.m. and the annex itself closing at 5:00 p.m.
Tag and taxes can be paid using the ballot box in front of the annex. Kowitz also wanted to stress to make sure you put your phone number down on checks.
