HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Deshawn Davis poured in 35 points and Darry Moore added another 14 as Trinity Valley moved on to the second round of the NJCAA National Basketball Tournament with a hard fought 96-91 win over Brunswick Community College Monday at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
Brunswick was lead by Christian Koonce with 24 points. Neither team led by more than 10 points all day. There were eight lead changes and the game was tied eight times.
Trinity Valley outrebounded the Dolphins 48 to 34 and the Cardinals move on to the second round to play Cowley County Community College Tuesday at 4:30. Brunswick ends their season at 15-5.
