Georgeann Geddes, 79, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, at her home in Hutchinson, KS. Georgeann was born June 2, 1945, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of George and Charlene (Rickards) Davis.
Georgeann graduated from Haven High School in 1963. On February 10, 1966, she married Dean Geddes in Hutchinson, KS. They were married for 30 years before his death in 1996. Georgeann enjoyed reading and playing solitaire. She was in the Small Group at Crosspoint Church, and she did many things, but what brought her the most joy was being a lunch lady at the grade school in Hewitt, TX. Georgeann was a member of Crosspoint Church, Hutchinson, KS.
Georgeann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean, and an infant daughter, Deana Geddes.
Survivors include her daughter, Gretchen (Bob) Bailey of Gypsum, CO; son, Douglas (Betsy) Geddes of Hutchinson, KS; brothers, Brent Davis and Burke Davis both of South Carolina; grandchildren, Brandy (Lorenzo) Rivera of Hutchinson, KS, Cody (Brittany) Fackler of Colorado Springs, CO, Alex (Nate) Hepner of Hays, KS, J.B. (Brooke) Gillespie of Wichita, KS, Tyler (Kodi) Geddes of Hutchinson, KS, Shelby (Nick) Minix of Hutchinson, KS, Paul (Taylor) Gillespie of Newton, KS, Hunter Gillespie of Hutchinson, KS, Justin Fackler of Denver, CO, Tristan Geddes and Tracy Geddes both of Hutchinson, KS; 24 great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Jeff Owen officiating.
