
Lower cotton prices have really caused American farmers to cut back on production.
The estimates are out, and the average number is a three percent drop in acres. The USDA also says that there's been a decrease in world cotton ending stocks, but not enough to boost prices.

And it's not just in the United States. Global cotton production is 2.5% percent below last year also, as prices around the globe reflect the over-supply.
