KANSAS CITY—A firefighter was injured while fighting a fire Monday evening in Kansas City.
Just after 5p.m. Monday, crews responded to a reported fire in a multi-family townhome at 10928 E McKinley in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
On arrival crews reported heavy smoke and fire from a two-story townhome. Interior operations were initiated using multiple handlines. Interior searches of the structure were conducted and came back all clear.
City Planning and Dangerous Buildings were requested to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation by KCFD. On firefighter was transported to a local hospital for a minor injury, according to Hopkins.
