Donna Jean Stewart, 78, died December 17, 2024, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born September 27, 1946, in Hutchinson, to Paul Carlton and Thelma Bernadine (Mackey) Buskirk, Jr.
Donna graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1964. For 34 years, she sold Avon and was known throughout Hutchinson as the “Avon Lady”. In addition, she enjoyed playing board games, (especially Yahtzee), Bingo, and the piano. Donna was an avid Elvis Presley fan, but was an even larger fan of her family. She always put her family first, especially her grandchildren. Donna was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.
On December 12, 1964, she married Jimmie Ray Stewart, in Hutchinson. He died June 7, 1995.
Donna is survived by: son, Wesley Stewart (Shanan); daughter, Marsha Cooper (Steve), all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Caleb Stewart (Lacie), Bailee Stewart, Johnathon Carson, Heather Kortus (Adam), and Jasmine Seibering; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne Buskirk (Ronnie).
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Jimmie; grandson, Wiley Stewart; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Palmatier.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1017 N. Washington Street, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, at the church. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
