SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The South Hutchinson City Council will have a new member when they meet Tuesday evening.
The council has been short two seats after Jeff Dovel and Tyler Graves announced their resignations last month. Mayor Matt Nisly then asked Brian Garretson to join the council. He will be sworn in this evening. Garretson was one of three individuals who filed to run for the council in the November election and since there are three seats up for election, it was very likely that he will be elected.
That still leaves one seat vacant on the council. Nisly says any resident interested in being appointed to the council to fill the remaining vacancy are encouraged to contact him at city hall or via email at [email protected].
Also Tuesday evening, the council will discuss a bridge replacement project and get a look at the 2022 budget. Tuesday’s meeting of the South Hutchinson City Council begins at 6 p.m. at the South Hutchinson City offices at 2 S. Main.
