
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The dry conditions continued in the Hutchinson area during the month of September.
According to figures released by the National Weather Service Hutchinson received just 0.86 of an inch of rainfall in September. Normal rainfall for the month is 2.01 inches. It’s the fourth straight month that rainfall has been below normal.
Temperatures remain above average as well. The average high for the month was 88.5 degrees. Normal average high is 83. Hutchinson hit the century mark three times on consecutive days between September 18th and the 20th.
The last month of significant rainfall in Hutchinson was in May when 7.33 inches of precipitation fell.
