Mike L. Unruh, 52, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born September 20, 1970 in Newton, Kansas, the son of Robert Lee and Violet Ruth (Schmidt) Unruh.
Mike was united in marriage to Sheryl L. Wenger on June 3, 1990 at rural, Halstead. She survives of the home.
He was a member of Garden View Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, rural Halstead.
Mike was the owner and operator of Unruh Excavating, LLC in Moundridge, Kansas and was currently the chairman of the Board of Directors for Mercy Hospital.
Other survivors include his three daughters, Alexcia (Micah) Unruh of Galva, Brooke (Ricki) Penner of Bredenbury, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Chelsea Unruh of Moundridge; granddaughter, Isabelle Unruh; his mother, Violet Unruh of Murray, Kentucky; brother, Phil (Katrina) Unruh, Murray, KY; sisters, Cindy (Kendall) Koehn, Murray, KY, and Trish (Abe) Leonard, Sequim, Washington; father and mother-in-law, Dale and Luerla Wenger, Burrton, KS.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Garden View Mennonite Church, Halstead. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Moundridge Funeral Home with family greeting friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the church.
