Guinn “Dale” Cochran, passed on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023, peacefully in his home in Bel Aire, Kansas.  He was born December 5th, 1938, in Union City, Tennessee to Leland Guinn Cochran and Emma Lou Cook. 

Dale served in the Navy from 1955 until retirement in 1976. In 1977, Dale married Lois Carnell Wilson. After retiring from the Navy, Dale worked in the nuclear industry as an Industrial Radiographer until retiring from Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation in Burlington, KS. 

He enjoyed many hobbies but took special interest in gardening, woodworking, collecting tools, and fishing. Dale loved music and accumulated an impressive collection of records.  Dale was also known to be pretty savvy with a pool stick. 

Dale is preceded in death by his wife Lois Cochran, parents Leland Guinn Cochran and Emma Lou Cook, siblings Peggy Dasher, son Roger Stayton and grandchildren Bryan and Jesse Donovan.

Survived by children Mitchell, Lonnie, Jesse, Yvonne and Scott, sister Betty Lou Tucker, brother Robert Lee Cochran,  14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5pm-6pm on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023,  and Service will be held  10:00am Thursday, October 5th, 2023, both at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center, Kansas; viewing available at 9:00am.

Dale will be laid to rest with a short reading from Chaplin Mark Ollenberger and military honors to follow at the Valley Center Cemetery, Valley Center, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial on behalf of Dale Cochran has been established through the Wounded Warrior Project.
