Lila Harris, 96, of Goessel, Kansas passed away November 16, 2023 at Schowalter Villa. She was born January 16, 1927, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Voth.
She graduated from Goessel High School and received a Nursing Degree from Grace Hospital School of Nursing in Hutchinson, KS. Lila was a registered nurse at Kidron Bethel Nursing home, retiring in 1987.
Lila was united in marriage to Ernest Harris on September 13, 1948. He passed away June 20, 2001.
She was a member of Tabor Mennonite Church.
Lila is survived by three daughters, Andrea Baker of McPherson; Dallas Irene Schmidt and her husband Kenneth of Hutchinson; and Susan Elizabeth Harris of Council Grove; son, Olin Harris of Goessel; brother, Ernie Voth and his wife Rose of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Dr. James Harris, M.D.; two sisters, Marna Abrahams, and Norma Martinez; and a brother, Alfred Voth.
Cremation is planned. Private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to Tabor Mennonite Church and sent to Miller-Ott Funeral Home, P.O. Box 96, Goessel, KS. 67053.
