MONTGOMERY COUNTY—Authorities continue the investigation of a fatal incident at a refinery in Montgomery County, Kansas.
On Friday, an employee at the Coffeyville refinery, 808 E New Street, Coffeyville, was transported from the refinery to an area hospital following an incident, according to a statement from Brandee Stephens, Director of Corporate Affairs at the refinery. The employee died.
The refinery was undergoing maintenance activities at the time. The company reported the incident to regulators. On Monday, officials said they would not release the victim's name and had no additional details available on what happened.
