Joleen Kay Ediger, 84, died February 10, 2024, at Pleasantview Home, Inman. She was born September 14, 1939, in Hutchinson, to John and Bertha (Seck) Eales.
Joleen graduated from Haven High School in 1956. On January 23, 1957, she married Gale Henry Ediger, in Lyons. They shared 67 years together.
Joleen worked in insurance billing at Hutchinson Hospital and was a clerk for the City of Haven. She belonged to the Red Hat Club and was a volunteer for Haven EMS. Joleen loved to watch sports. She enjoyed the KC Royals and the Chiefs, KU basketball, and K-State football. She had a loving and generous heart and especially loved keeping up with her kids and grandkids’ activities and all their birthdays and anniversaries.
She is survived by her husband Gale Ediger, Yoder, sons, Roger Ediger (Joleen), Hutchinson, Ron Ediger (Carolie), Hutchinson; daughter, Diane Meadows (John), Hutchinson; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Karen McQuilliam, Lindsborg.
Joleen was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dean Eales.
Graveside service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Laurel Cemetery, Haven. Friends may sign the book from 9 am to 8 pm Tuesday through Friday, with family visitation 5 to 7 pm Friday, at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Haven FFA or Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
