HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Parents and caregivers in Reno County will have an opportunity to learn practical strategies for improving family dynamics during a free training event next week.

The Reno County Education Cooperative (RCEC) is sponsoring a PAX Tools for Caregivers training on April 9, designed to help adults reduce stress, improve children’s behavior, and build stronger connections at home.

The session will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren, 1600 N. Severance Street in Hutchinson.

Organizers say the training focuses on simple, easy-to-use techniques that can be applied immediately and are effective for children of all ages. The program is also described as trauma-informed and family-friendly.

Participants will receive several free resources, including pizza, childcare during the event, and a PAX Tools kit to take home.

The training aims to help families create calmer, more positive home environments through proven behavioral strategies.
