William Clyde “Bill” Osborn, 84, of South Hutchinson, died February 9, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born December 2, 1939, in Hutchinson, to Paul H. and Inez M. (Smith) Osborn.
Bill served in the United States Navy from 1961-1965. He worked in maintenance for commercial accounts and Catholic schools in Seattle, WA, before returning to Hutchinson and working for Leech Products until he retired. Always busy, Bill enjoyed reading and tinkering, doing woodwork projects for Janine and as a handyman. He and Janine also enjoyed many trips to Texas and Branson.
On November 22, 1991, Bill married Janine (Willesen) Leatherbury, in Hutchinson. She survives.
Also surviving are: his son, Billy Osborn (Mauren Serb) of Seattle, WA; daughter, Sheri McCoy of Wichita; daughter-in-law, Ame Leatherbury of Bonner Springs; grandchildren, Michael Durham, Michelle Coffman (Andy), Matt Leatherbury (Stephanie), Morgan Leatherbury, Molli McCoy; great-grandchildren, Cayd, Cloe, Alyssa, Josie, Jace, Jordi, Jami, Elliott; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Rodney and Gary; son, Scott Leatherbury; and grandson, Cory Leatherbury.
Per Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
