CLOUD COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating an report of a suspect allegedly impersonating an officer.
An unmarked Dodge Durango is attempting to pull individuals over, according to a statement from the the Cloud County Sheriff's Department.
The an is identifying himself as Deputy Hawthorn. The sheriff's office does not have anyone by that name working for the agency. All Cloud County patrol vehicles are marked stating it is a Cloud County Sheriff's Department vehicle.
If you question the validity of an attempted traffic stop, please contact the Dispatch at 785-243-3131. They can verify that a Cloud County Deputy is attempting to make the stop.
