
INMAN, Kan. — Inman Police Chief Bobby Herron announced Tuesday that on Friday, October 13th, the Inman Police Department will be hosting a Crisis Drill Training.
This drill will encompass the area of Pleasant View Home as well as various parts of the Inman school buildings. Participants in the drill include Pleasant View Home, Inman Public School District #448, Inman Police Department, McPherson Sheriff's Office, McPherson EMS, McPherson Sheriff/McPherson City Joint SRT Team, McPherson Emergency Management, as well as other emergency personnel and first responders.
If you live in the area of these buildings or are passing by, expect to see heavy police presence in and around the area as well as fire and EMS coming and going from the area. You may also hear sirens, alarms, loud speaker announcements as well as simulated gunfire.
Signs will be posted in the areas of operation noting the police training is in progress. This training is scheduled to begin around 8 a.m. Friday and will last into the early afternoon hours.
Inman USD 448 does not have school on Friday, Oct. 13.
