Stanley Lavern Booth, age 63, born January 26, 1959, at the Joslin Hospital, Harper, Kansas. He went to be with his Lord on January 11, 2023 at his home under the care of Rivercross Hospice.

Stanley attended Kindergarten at Wells Elementary School in Wichita, then attended grades 1-5 at Enterprise Elementary School in South Wichita. He attended 6th grade at Harper Elementary, Harper, Kansas. Then 7th & 8th at Wichita Baptist Tabernacle. When Wichita Heights Baptist Church started their Accelerated Christian School, Stan attended 9-12th grades and graduated in 1978.

After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy in 1980. He was discharged as an AZ, from Kingston Naval Air Station, Kingston, Texas. April 19, 1989, Stan married Patti Rogers of Salina, Kansas. To this union was born Mark Robert Donald Booth Cowin. After his divorce, Stan became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). He worked at Wesley Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, Riverside Hospital and many of the Nursing Homes in the area as well as a short time at the prison in El Dorado, Kansas. He preferred working with the elderly and using his gifts to minister to many.

Stan loved his cats, Scudder and Minnie. He also loved planting flowers and watching them grow. Sitting on his porch he would watch the birds making their nests in the tree in front of his apartment. As a young man, Stan was a very good singer. He auditioned at Branson, Missouri and also sang at rodeos and helped in the chutes.

His character was he never met a stranger, he was strong willed but compassionate, very opinionated, spoke his mind on everything whether right or wrong. When he was young, he was very meticulous about his appearance, but as he got older and sicker his attitude became more docile.

Stanley is survived by his parents Don and Wanda Booth of Park City, Ks; sister Debra & George Birdwell of Park City, Ks; son Mark & Kasidy Cowin of Ponca City, Okla.; 5 grandchildren Braden, Serenity, Israel, Aaliaha and Jordyn; 5 stepchildren Christopher, Kaleb, Kolton, Kimberlyn and Lolleena; nephews and nieces, Robert & Clarissa Birdwell and Melissa Birdwell of Park City, Ks and Debra & Ben Corliss of Pensacola, FL; many other family, church family and friends.
