HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The annual gingerbread house decorating event is set for this Saturday.
Hutch Rec volunteer elves have been busy at work this week, constructing 1,200 gingerbread houses in preparation. This free community event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Memorial Hall.
Participants will enjoy decorating a gingerbread house and also have the opportunity to visit and take pictures with Santa. This annual event is Hutch Rec’s gift to the community, and is back in-person after it moved to a drive-through event in 2020 due to COVID-19.
