HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The annual Stuff the Bus event for BrightHouse was a great success.
"We had $1071 in cash donations," said Sue Wray with BrightHouse. "That was more than last year. We had more than $595 in gift cards, also more than last year, the sponsorship money, it was $2,666 overall. So, a really successful event."
Sponsors this year included Eagle Media, Dynamic Electronics, Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System, Sleep Shoppe and Furniture Gallery and Mattress Clearance Center, Allen Samuels CDJR and Hog Wild.
"We had a lot more items than we did last year, so it took longer," Wray said. "On the items, we had 4,373 individual items. That was more than last year by almost 2,000 items. It was a really, really good event."
2021 was the second largest item year ever for BrightHouse.
