MCPHERSON, Kan. — Les Mason's seat in the Statehouse will be filled for the Special Session Tuesday.
The Republican Party is holding a meeting for District 73 on Monday night at 7 p.m. at the McPherson Senior Center. Sign in for those there to vote will be at 6:30 p.m.
Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen from the district will vote for someone to fill the seat.
Those who cannot attend must fill out a proxy form and have it notarized prior to the meeting, to allow someone else to vote on their behalf.
This meeting is required to fill the seat of Mason, who died earlier this month from complications from a brain aneurysm.
