HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Cancer Council of Reno County is still looking ahead to its Reno Roundup event February 20 to raise funds to support local cancer patients.

"That looks like a lot of different things," said board member Carissa Iseman. "The obvious ones that you might think of are treatments or anything outside of what insurance doesn't already cover. Sometimes that is tires, or a cell phone or travel to and from larger cancer treatment centers around the United States. All of the dollars raised from our fundraisers, those dollars do go to Reno County patients."

First on the 20th is an in person wine pull and a chance to look at the items up for live auction Saturday night at the Sandhills Event Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"On the 20th, we will have a virtual auction which is going to be accessible via our mobile bidding software," said Katie Thacker with the Cancer Council. "At 7 p.m., the broadcast will begin. You'll hear from both Carissa and myself. You'll hear from our executive director, a few board members, we have a really special guest speaker this year and we'll also do our live auction."
