
Cheryl Ann (Harris) Kuhn, 81, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, at Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 23, 1943, in Hutchinson, she was the daughter of Elbert “Bubs” and Bonnie Jean (Miller) Harris. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1961 and was a lifelong resident of Hutchinson. Cheryl was a devoted mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
Cheryl’s faith was a guiding light in her life. As a devoted member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, she found great comfort in her spirituality. She also cherished life’s simple joys—spending time at the lake, shopping on QVC, and most importantly, being with her family.
On November 25, 1961, Cheryl married Robert “Bob” Kuhn in Hutchinson. They shared 52 wonderful years together before his passing on April 26, 2014.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Stephanie Stephens, Brian (Shelly) Kuhn, and Jordan (Michelle) Nuss; her brothers, Zac (Lavonne) Harris and Homer (Melodie) Harris; her grandchildren, Dallas Stephens, Madison (Austin) Zolman, Harlea (Robert Magill) Stephens, Levi (Austin Baragary) Kuhn, Tyson (Rylie) Kuhn, Lyndsey (Nathan) Reed, and Chelsey (Mikel Bohringer) Miller; and her nine great-grandchildren, Bronson, Madalyn, Avery, Sofeah, Wyatt, Grayson, Jaxon, Adalee, and Tatum; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family was her greatest joy; she created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Harris; and her beloved husband, Bob Kuhn.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Fairlawn Burial Park, with Father Jerome Spexarth officiating. Visitation will be held at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel & Crematory on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 1:00-6:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Father Jerome Spexarth.
