
RILEY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 10 p.m. Saturday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Ford Edge driven by Toby Jo Diringer, 43, Newton, was southbound on Kansas 18 one mile south of Ogden in the driving lane.
The Ford rear-ended a 2008 Nissan Rogue driven by Noelle Christine Doty, 28, Junction City, that was stopped due to heavy traffic. The impact pushed the Nissan over the center line into the passing lane.
The Ford then rear-ended a 2022 Buick Encore driven by Lyndy Maria Tischhauser, 25, Manhattan. The impact caused the Buick to rear-end a 2015 Ford F150 driven by Christopher James Unruh, 47, Lakin.
EMS transported a passenger in the Ford Edge identified as Victoria M. Diringer, 47, Newton, to Via Christi in Manhattan. There were no other injuries. All five were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
