HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Interim City Manager Mary Grace Clements let Hutch Post know on Wednesday that the tentative opening date for the Woodie Seat Freeway for its winter availability is scheduled for Feb. 7.
The original intent at the beginning of the multiple phase project was to open around Christmas 2023, but weather related delays have kept things closed until now.
The intent is to close the highway again once the next phase of the project starts this spring. No specific restart date has been set yet.
