Glenn Wayne Stutzman, 79, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at his home in Hutchinson, KS. Glenn was born on August 9, 1944, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of Tobias and Emma (Nisly) Stutzman.
On November 20, 1965, Glenn married Miriam Kinsinger in Middlefield, OH. He started working for Stutzman Refuse when he was only 15 years old. He retired after 50 years. Glenn didn’t know a stranger and was always seen with a smile. He was a good PR manager for Stutzman’s and went above and beyond for his customers. Glenn was an avid collector of John Deere Toys and novelty radios. Glenn and Miriam had a small hobby farm where they raised several animals. He enjoyed gardening and planting trees. He was a member of Inspire Church in Hutchinson, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Perry L. Stutzman; sisters, Mary Yoder and Edith Stutzman; and son-in-law, Craig Wood.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Miriam; daughters, Janet McMillan, Norma (Robert) Cape and Penny Wood all of Hutchinson; brother, Ervin Stutzman of Virginia; sister, Erma Yoder of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Mitchell (Merit) Wood, Heather Cape, Natalie Wood, and Mason Wood; great grandchildren, Grace and Townes Wood, Eleanor and Iris Sullivan and several bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Inspire Church, 4290 N. Monroe St, Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Kent Pedersen officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2024, with the family preset at Inspire Church. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Inspire Church Youth Group and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
