HUTCHINSON, Kan. — There have been some delays, the last of them due to illness, but the State Fair sign on Main will be done before visitors come for the basketball tournaments, if things go to schedule.
"We did talk to Luminous Signs, and we are hoping for the week of the 27th, for it to be installed," Schulz said. "We're hoping all the programming goes well and then we can start using it, instead of having the time and temp and a black board."
The sign is just one of many ongoing projects that have to get supplies and employees synced up to get them done.
"We're in the process of our asphalt work," Schulz said. "We're in the process of our HVAC work for the Oz Gallery and Centennial Hall, we've been told, our PA system, we've been told all that stuff will be ready for us before Fair starts."
The Kansas State Fair will run from Sept. 8-17.
