Shirley Jeanette (Jantz) Branch passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023. She was born on December 1, 1937 to Ben B. & Alma (Johnson) Jantz in Hillsboro Kansas. Shirley was raised on a farm in Marion County, Kansas with her 4 brothers and 7 sisters. After graduating high school, she met and married Lawrence R. Branch, May 18, 1956, a USAF airman.
Momma enjoyed gardening, gambling, and traveling. She and daddy did just that. First traveling to Puerto Rico, and through out the US. Later moving back to Kansas, she retired from Rainbo Bread. But she was always about family.Shirley is survived by her daugther Brenda, grandsons Larry Joe Jr. and Michael Jay, their wives and 6 great grand children, her sister Joan Huntoon of Wichita and her brother Kenneth Jantz of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Branch, son Larry Joe Branch, parents Ben and Alma Jantz, and siblings Fiennes Jantz, Geneva Stucky, Manford Jantz, Delores Richert, Evelyn Potts, Donna Phillips, Gerald Jantz, Flora Jean Carlson, Sharon Wisdom.Visitation 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28 at Baker Funeral Home Chapel Valley Center. Graveside 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 1 at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
