Ralph Edward Saner, age 69, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas, surrounded by loved ones.

Ralph Edward Saner was born October 12, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas.  Ralph was the fifth of six children, born to Earl and Opal (McClain) Saner.  Ralph attended Bridgeport and Chisholm Trail Elementary and Brooks Junior High School. He attended Heights High School, graduating in 1971.  He played baseball for Allen County Community College for two years.  On April 20, 1974, Ralph married Vicki Highberger at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Westphalia, Kansas.  They were blessed with three sons.

They lived in Park City where he worked for Koch Engineering, Learjet, Turbojet and owner/operator of Mid America Jet.

Ralph was preceded in death by his father Earl Saner, brothers Robert, Richard (Dickie) and sister-in-law Dixie.  Ralph is survived by his wife Vicki Saner of Park City, sons: Ryan (Lisa) Saner of Valley Center, Brandon (Kristine) Saner of Park City and BJ (Kelsey) Saner of Valley Center.  Nine grandchildren: Caleb, Baylee, Brock, Brody, Bryson, Austin, Gavin, Aizley and Merrick.  Siblings: Sandy (Howard) Woods, Janet (Bill) Maltby and Ronnie (Pam) Saner and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 8th at Riverlawn Christian Church (South Entrance) at 5pm to 7pm.  Funeral will be held at Riverlawn Christian Church (South Entrance), Friday, December 9th at 10:30am.  Graveside will follow the service at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita.  (* Riverlawn South Entrance is at the Southwest Corner of the facility by playground.)

Ralph loved coaching youth basketball and baseball teams through the years.  He also loved attending the Big 12 Basketball tournaments with friends and family.  He thoroughly enjoyed his classmate gatherings, playing poker in his back garage (his man cave), camping at El Dorado Lake for the Veteran’s weekends and occasional fishing.  His favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers, Wichita State and Kansas State. He truly enjoyed putting on his annual fish fry and playing various games with family and friends through the years. He loved telling stories and having a good laugh.  Ralph was always the life of the party.
