Hutchinson Public Schools is asking community members to help identify the qualities and priorities they want in the district’s next superintendent.
The USD 308 Board of Education has partnered with ESSDACK to conduct the superintendent search. Parents, students, staff and community members are encouraged to complete a brief online survey about the leadership qualities, priorities and competencies they believe the next superintendent should possess.
ESSDACK will review the confidential responses and combine the feedback with input from the Board of Education. The information will be used to develop a leadership profile that will guide the recruitment, screening and interview process.
District officials said the feedback will also help identify priorities for the next superintendent and Board of Education moving forward.
The search follows Superintendent Dr. Dawn Johnson’s announcement that she will retire at the end of the 2026-27 school year.
The survey is available through the district’s USD 308 Superintendent Profile — Community Feedback survey.
