Tracy Floyd Sivils, 55, died Friday, February 3, 2023, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  He was born April 17, 1967, in Hutchinson, to Kenneth “Kenny” and Ernestine Janette (Eisiminger) Sivils.

Tracy graduated from Nickerson High School in 1985.  He received his EMS training from Hutchinson Community College, and graduated from the police academy in both Kansas and Nebraska. Tracy worked as a police officer in Kingman, KS and McCook, NE, before retiring from the Salina Police Department.  After retirement, he drove a truck for Brull Trucking, Hutchinson, and helped on the family farm at Partridge.  Tracy enjoyed the simple things in life such as woodworking, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs.  He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

On March 12, 1994, he married Karen Stohs, in Bremen, Kansas.  They were blessed with two sons, Connor and Brock.  Tracy was proud of his sons, always striving to be there to support them in their activities. 

Tracy is survived by:  his wife of almost 29 years, Karen Sivils; sons, Connor Sivils and Brock Sivils, all of Inman; father, Kenny Sivils; sister, Tawnya Harner (Doug), all of Partridge; mother-in-law, LeIla Stohs of Bremen, KS; sister-in-law, Diane Lasseigne (Mark) of Edwardsville, IL; brother-in-law, Wayne Stohs (Jody) of Noblesville, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Sivils and father-in-law, Victor Stohs.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 407 E. 12th, Hutchinson, with Pastors Quentin Nuttmann and Henry Blickhahn officiating.  Private family inurnment will take place in Partridge Cemetery.  Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Monday through Wednesday, and from 9:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.  Cremation has taken place.
