HUTCHINSON, Kan. —  Heartland Credit Union (HCU) has been named the number one Return of the Member (ROM) credit union in their asset group nationwide and number 25 in the nation, as measured by Callahan & Associates.

ROM is a quantifiable metric used to measure the value a credit union provides to its members based on loan and savings rates, the products and services the credit union offers to its members, and member engagement.

“There’s no greater compliment than to be recognized for the value we provide to our members,” Dan Springer, President/CEO said. “I want to thank our staff for their dedication to making our members their number one priority and finding the right solutions for our members’ needs. We couldn’t do it without them.”

HCU is headquartered in Hutchinson, and just recently expanded into the Hays market to go along with branches in Haven, Newton and Wichita. The credit union has about 35,000 members with total assets of $550 million.
