HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Salvation Army of Hutchinson continues its fan drive. With the help of Westlake Ace Hardware and generous donations, fans are being distributed to those who need one. As of Friday, more than 180 fans have been given out.
Donations have come from outside the area as well. Evergy donated more than 80 fans to the cause. Major Paul James with The Salvation Army says they are still taking donations and will be handing out fans through the end of August. James says, with the hot weather, the demand for fans is great.
Those wanting a fan can get one. If it is your first time for assistance from The Salvation Army, you will need to fill out a short form and provide proof of address.
