
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Youth summer sports programs are now open for registration through Hutch Rec, offering baseball, softball and T-ball opportunities for children of various age groups.
According to information in the registration flyer , the programs include multiple divisions designed to accommodate youth from ages 3 to 12. Baseball and softball leagues are available for ages 7 to 12, while T-ball is offered for younger children ages 3 to 6.
Baseball divisions include machine pitch for ages 7 to 8, along with recreational leagues for ages 9 to 12. Softball offerings mirror those age groups, including coach pitch for younger participants and rec leagues for older players. Fees for baseball and softball range from $40 to $48 depending on age group.
Practices for baseball and softball are scheduled to begin the week of May 11. Both sports will feature a six-game season played on June 1, 8, 15 and 22.
T-ball programs are also available for younger participants, with sessions for ages 3 to 4 and 5 to 6, each costing $35. The T-ball season will include six games scheduled for May 26, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 25, with short practices held before each game.
All programs are listed as scholarship eligible, providing opportunities for families who may need financial assistance.
The registration deadline is May 1 for in-person sign-ups and May 3 for online registration.
