David L. Allison, 68, of Halstead, Kansas passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 6, 2023. He was the second of four children born to Everett J. and Pauline Allison on May 26, 1954 in Salina, Kansas. He lived his entire life in Kansas and along with Salina, he was a resident of Lucas, Kansas and later moved to Halstead, Kansas where he resided until his death. Growing up in central Kansas, David held many jobs, including custom harvesting, working in a carnival and eventually became an over the road truck driver. He then started his own small trucking company Allison Trucking. His last job was owner of Daves Bait and Tackle at Spring Lake.
When David moved to Halstead he became a member of Newton Christian Church and had been for many years. He loved kids and would often give them rides in his electric wheelchair. He was responsible for saving a child from abortion and would save his change to donate to the Heartland Pregnancy Care Center in Newton.
He is preceded in death by his son Paul Allison, parents Everett J and Pauline Allison.
David is survived by his sister Linda S. Allison of Eldon, Missouri, brothers Robert D. Allison of Wichita, Kansas and Dennis J. (Christine) Allison of Valley Center, Kansas, 5 nephews, 1 neice, multiple great nephews & nieces, many other friends and church family.
Graveside service 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas 67466.
