HUTCHINSON, Kan. — If you’re looking for a job or even a career change, then an event happening Tuesday at the Uptown Hutch Mall is for you. It's the twice a year Soar Hire Job Fair and it runs from noon to 6:00 p.m. in the food court area of the mall.
"We are actually giving out some incentives just for people to show up to the job fair on Tuesday," said Ashley Weve with EAGLE Media. "We have a deal where they can go around and fill out some information, make sure that they stop by the vendor booths and then bring that information back to us and then put their name in for a drawing and we're going to give away two $50 VISA gift cards, just for attending the event."
Participants are asked to bring a résumé and dress appropriately for a job interview. In addition, Hutch Post has launched an all the time Jobs page if people are looking for workers between job fairs.
"The job fair is a great opportunity, but that only comes around twice a year," Weve said. "We now have the opportunity for people to go to Hutch Post and in the header navigation, we now have a Jobs tab. You can specifically go to that jobs tab and see a list of different available positions that are around. Reno County, Sedgwick County, Rice, Harvey, wherever you are at that's local, contact us, so people have one solid place to go to."
