
KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement investigating another homicide in Kansas City have identified the victim as 31-year-old Javonie E. Minor, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
Just before 8:30p.m. Sunday, patrol officers responded to the 2900 block of Wabash on a reported shooting, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
First responders were directed to a residence on Wabash where they located Minor suffering from gunshot wounds. KCFD EMS responded and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
This is being investigated as a homicide and no one is in custody at this point. Preliminary information revealed there was an altercation outside of a residence between multiple individuals that led to shots being fired and the victim being struck. Police have not released the victim's name.
