Linus O’Neil Dixon, Sr., 63, of McPherson, KS and formerly of San Diego, CA, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, surrounded by family at his home in McPherson.
Linus was born on October 9, 1959, in Covington, LA, the son of Grady Robert Mosely and Ruby Celeste Dixon.
On July 24, 1986, Linus was united in marriage to Jennifer A. Carson in Minneapolis, MN. This union was blessed with two children, Tanisha and Linus, Jr.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Jennifer of the home; two children, Tanisha (Kyle) Stockham of Wichita, KS and Linus (Nicole) Dixon, Jr. of McPherson, KS; three grandchildren, Morgan Dixon, Ava Stockham, and Ellamae Stockham; siblings, Parlee McDowell of Covington, LA, Charlotte Dixon of Covington, LA, Christy Warren of Covington, LA, Freddy McDowell of California; LeeMorras Brown of Houston, TX, and Melvin Dixon of Baton Rouge, LA; sisters-in-law, Tammy Brown of Salina, KS and Lisa Dixon of Covington, LA; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James Brown, Edward Dixon, and J.D. Dixon.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Black officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:0o PM until service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Park, McPherson.
