HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A small lake in Buhler has been added to the list of lakes affected by toxic algae. The Buhler City Lake in Wheatland Park is under an algae watch which means some of the growth is possible in the lake.
The alert means care should be taken to not have pets or yourself come in contact with the water. Marion Reservoir is also under a watch while Harvey County East Lake and Marion County Lake are under algae warnings. The four bodies of water are the only ones in the area under any advisory at this time.
The KDHE issues updates on all lakes affected by the algae each Thursday.
